Eyeglasses and frames in DeLand

Our optical sits next to the exam rooms. Lucinda Varela, our optician, helps you choose frames and lenses and fits the finished glasses.

Choosing frames

A smiling man in glasses and a gray shirt rests his hands on a white counter in a bright shop with empty shelves.

Bring your prescription, or come straight from your exam. Lucinda measures your face and the distance between your pupils. She tells you which frames suit your prescription as well as your face.

Lenses

Clear lenses and a few frames laid out on a white optical workbench

We explain each lens option and its cost with your vision plan: single vision, progressives for distance and reading in one lens, anti glare coatings, and lenses that darken in the sun.

Questions about eyeglasses and frames

Do you adjust frames bought somewhere else?

Yes. Adjustments, tightened screws and new nose pads are free during office hours, wherever you bought your frames.

Can I use a prescription from another eye doctor?

Yes. Bring a copy, and we make your glasses from it.

How long do new glasses take?

Most glasses are ready in one to two weeks. We call you when they arrive and fit them in person.
